Earth Yoga For The People

Earth Yoga for the people is a yoga series that happens every Sunday during the summer season (except for Labor Day weekend) from 4:30-6:00 pm during Golden Hour, between a grove of Redwoods in Oakland.

Informed by Shinrin-Yoku, the traditional Japanese practice of Forest Bathing, this offering will invite you to attune to your five senses with each Asana in order to bathe in the restorative magic the natural environment offers.

Come practice surrounded by the forest, immersed in the symphony of windsong, and birdsong while connecting to the electromagnetic field of the Earth. During savasana, get bathed in the healing frequencies of sound practitioner & vocal artist, Joana Ayala.

update: we have two more sessions left of this series: 08/24 & 09/07

  • Yoga Student and Teacher

Meet Reet (pronounced Rhett) Rannik, a yoga student and teacher, M.A. Transpersonal Ecopsychologist, and graduate student pursuing a career in pscyhotherapy at The California Institute of Integral Studies.
